Teen Summer Reading Program

Grades 6-12


How It Works


1. Sign up at the San Anselmo Library and pick up a Bingo card anytime between June 14 and August 1. Get a free book from Town Books for completing your first bingo line (across, up-and-down, or diagonal).

2.  Keep going! You’ll receive prizes and gift certificates to cool local businesses for your second, third and fourth bingos (the lines can overlap).

Registration is required for all teen summer programs.

Slime Party and Contest

Friday, July 13, 3:00-4:30pm, Library Lawn

Advanced sign-ups required. 

Create your own custom slime recipe. Play with your creations, compare slimes, and make new friends. There will also be a Contest with prizes!


Ukulele Group Jam and Lesson

Friday, July 20, 3:00-4:00pm, Council Chambers

Advanced sign-ups and a ukulele required.

Come out to San Anselmo Library for a free ukulele jam with Ukulenny!  Take this 1-hour course and learn the basics of this wonderful four-stringed instrument. Complete beginners are welcome, and no musical experience is required.  With a few simple chords, you'll be strumming along to songs by Bruno Mars, Jason Mraz, Journey, and more! 


Henna Body Art

Friday, July 27, 3:00-4:30pm, Council Chambers

Advanced sign-ups and parental permission required.

Henna is used by many cultures as a form of artistic expression. In this hands-on program, Rachel-Anne will explain the art of henna in India and create a brief but intricate henna design on your hand.


Button Making Soiree

Wednesday, August 1, 6:00-7:30pm, Library

Express yourself by making colorful buttons out of recycled materials.
